I believe “Happy New Year” wishes are in order. I don’t know about you, but it’s been a whirlwind around our home the last month. Getting back into a routine, starting new classes & activities, and a run-in with Covid left us a little disheveled (and extra sleep deprived). Jumping back into something that looks and feels normal seems like a good idea…and even though I’m feeling totally disoriented that it’s now 2022 (my brain is still somewhere in 2018), I’ve been creating a cool collection of fun & fab vintage style lighting finds to kick off the new year in style!
Lighting is one of my favorite elements of home design. It kind of boggles my mind how changing out one fixture can completely alter a space and give it a new look and a fresh vibe.
A few of my personal favorite light fixtures are authentic vintage pieces that have been restore and rewired. There’s nothing quite like the real thing – you can just sense the history and life in old fixtures and I feel like it brings an element of that history into a home.
But, it’s not always practical or easy to fit your home with vintage lighting. To be honest, I could probably put a “chandie” in every room. Not only are they elegant and timeless, but they give me the “cherry on top” vibe that I love so much. Don’t be afraid to put a chandelier in unexpected places (like a bathroom, for instance – I totally would). A well-placed chandelier can spruce up any room.

Semi flush mounts are my jam. Schoolhouse style flush mounts have become a personal favorite of mine and don’t get me started on milk glass. Semi flush mounts add so much height to a room and their lines give detail and dimension. I’m loving this collection of semi flush mounts!
