Fudge. Just hearing the word makes my taste buds sing and the saliva start to flow like Niagra. Okay, sorry. Envisioning my spit isn’t the imagery I was targeting, here. Let’s begin again, shall we? Fudge. It’s sweet. It’s creamy. It’s buttery. It’s a must-have during the holiday season (and, I argue, year-round!). I am a bit of a fudge snob, my friends. This stems from the years of fudgery (my own term for fudge-making) with my mom. She would make all types and varieties of fudge during the holidays but my favorite has always been this creamy pink fudge recipe that continues to be a staple of our holiday baking ritual!
Creamy Pink Fudge Recipe: You Will Need
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 2/3 Cup Evaporated Milk
- Dash of Salt
- 12 Large Marshmallows
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 10 oz Package Cherry Chips
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 12 oz Chocolate Chips
- 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter
- 1 Cup Chopped Nuts
Before we begin, I just want to say that I completely left out the stick of butter when I mixed this up for the photo shoot. *Face palm* I was distracted by a few little monsters and a grandma (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it). So, don’t pull a Jess and leave out the butter. Also, notice the little finger prints in side of the pan — my little monsters enjoyed poking at the fudge as it began to set. Sigh.
- Mix sugar, milk, marshmallows, salt, and BUTTER in a pot and cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
- Boil for 5 minutes and remove from heat.
- Add package of cherry cips and vanilla.
- Stir until melted.
- Pour into a greased 9×13 pan and chill.
- Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter.
- Add chopped nuts into chocolate and peanut butter mixture.
- Pour over chilled cherry mixture.
- Let set and eat! **This fudge is DELICIOUS chilled
As if this wasn’t a given, make sure to taste throughout the fudgery process. This guy licked the chocolate bowl clean which led to a sugar rush and half hour of the zoomies. Worth it? Absolutely.
I’m so happy to share one of my favorite holiday recipes with you, friends! Enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells that I hope fill your homes during the holiday season.
