The holidays always give me the push to make every space feel like a warm hug (to quote Olaf – we watch a lot of Frozen in this house). I’m going to share how to create a vintage holiday vibe with Piper Classics goodies that you won’t want to miss!
Piper Classics has been a favorite shop of mine for years. As a creative soul, I’ve trudged my way through several home decor styles, if you will. From primitive to shabby chic, industrial to modern farmhouse, vintage eclectic and I-don’t-know-what-you’d-call-it, Piper Classics pieces have been and continue to be a staple for me.
Anyway, when Brenda reached out to me about partnering with Piper Classics, I was pretty thrilled. You’ll be seeing how I style many of my favorites around my home and I hope you’ll find something you love, too!
A Vintage Holiday Vibe with Piper Classics
We recently moved (a big move) and have been settling while readying for the holidays. For the first time in our home-owning lives, we have a finished basement space. This is awesome, of course, but it’s also a basement and definitely feels like a basement. I’ve been working to create a cozier-this-is-not-a-drab-basement atmosphere.
I love incorporating a large piece (usually signage or a portrait) as a central focal point and this room was the perfect spot for St. Nick. This vintage reproduction sign hits all the boxes for me – awesome quality, solid wood, and convincing details that give the illusion of patina and age. It’s that little bit of whimsy that adds the touch of magic I love during the holidays.
Add texture to any wall piece with a strand of garland. This alpine cedar garland strand provides that extra bit of depth/texture with the look and feel of live greens. Check out the unboxing of this beauty on Instagram for those close up details!
I placed three mini trees to the left of St. Nick but wanted to jazz up their foundation a bit. I stumbled across these metal scalloped planters and knew they would work really well – they add just the right amount of bedazzle to balance out all of the texture we’ve got going on. I’ll be able to use these year round, too!
How do I know when I’ve hit the nail on the head in any room? The cats. The cats observe everything I do and they judge me for it (I mean…it’s just their way, right?). I knew I hit a home run when Sarah Sanderson immediately threw herself onto the rug and rolled about, happily. It’s almost as if she’s as smitten with this view as I!
Love this look? Let me know! Give Piper Classics a visit, too. You won’t be disappointed (& I’ll add their shipping is the fastest EVER – like, they’re beating Amazon at this point)! Thanks for hanging with me and until next time, peace, love, & light (after coffee).
